Karen Edwards, Victim Specialist, is the VSU’s coordinator
working with external partners to ensure all victims of crime
receive the support they need from the point of first police contact
through offender adjudication. In 2025, we welcomed student
intern, Shannon Poole, from Clemson University to learn about
victim services and assist VS Edwards with the workload.
Dr. Peg Courts, Medical Psychologist, provides acute intervention
for victims to reduce the severity and duration of trauma-related
distress.
