AND PROTESTS
CBRPD is tasked with providing public safety for large attendance events in Doylestown
Borough, the County seat, and smaller scale events in Chalfont and New Britain Borough.
In 2025, annual large-scale events including the Arts Festival, Memorial Day Parade, 4th of
July Parade, Dusk to Dawn Car Show, and various bike races and running events.
From 2024
In addition to the planned events, there were numerous polarizing
protests (President
Trump, Elon Musk, ICE, Isreal, and Charlie Kirk). Protests continue to take place with little
or no notice to the Department which taxes the already limited resources.
Dynamics of
Community Sentiment
The Department promotes proactive
strategies aimed at ensuring both officer
safety and community trust. Regular
briefings on emerging trends equip officers
with insight, guiding their interactions with
the public during events that have the
potential to spiral into violence. Each protest
require Command to tailor protocols in
police services.
