FROM THE CHIEF
The 2025 Annual Report aims to enhance transparency, ensure
accountability, and foster public awareness regarding the
department's responsibilities in serving and safeguarding the
community.

Our department is dedicated to protecting life and property,
ensuring equitable law enforcement, and addressing the
varied and often unpredictable challenges associated with
public safety in a professional manner. We fulfill this
responsibility with a commitment to integrity, accountability,
and a deep respect for the individuals and communities we
serve.
In this report, we explore the most pressing challenge this
department continues to face which is an ongoing staffing
shortage. Throughout 2025, I pivoted strategies several times
to compensate for the shortages while not sacrificing public
safety.
In 2025, there was a notable decline in incidents of theft,
burglary, vandalism and public drunkenness. Conversely, the
year also witnessed an uptick in assaults, weapons offenses,
and disorderly conduct. Despite these mixed trends, the
overall crime rate experienced a 2% reduction compared to
2024.
I appreciate the continued support of the Police Commission,
the Borough Councils, and the residents of our communities.
Together, we remain committed to providing professional,
responsive and ethical law enforcement services.
